I continued to work with Mike throughout my years as an administrator with SAISD and followed his career through his different job responsibilities with SAPD.  I always knew that no matter the role Mike had, I could rely on him to be honest, to care, and to be trusted.  Mike has always been a trusted and reliable friend to SAISD.

I have known Mike for over 25 years.  We met in 2008 when I was the principal at Glenn Middle School.  At that time, he was both a parent (Kelsey’s dad) and a campus resource officer.  We were also neighbors for eleven years.

School safety has been a priority for Mike as long as I have known him.  He provided numerous trainings for the staff at Glenn as well as training for district leadership.   I currently serve on the board for a private pre-school, and he has provided training for the staff there.  He  knows that effective and continual training is essential to school safety and has always willingly  answered the call.
